Matured for 12 months in 20% new French oak. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Lifted black cherry and liquorice aromas infused with blackpepper are trailed by dried meat, vanillin cedar and black olive notes. Medium to full bodied and loaded with blackpepper the palate has flavours of black cherry, liquorice and black olive over a background of smoked meats and spicy vanillin cedar. Dryish finish with firm muscular tannins and a medium to long blackpepper laced finish.
