Matured for 18 months in 20% new French oak barriques. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of ripe currants, plum and mulberry intermix with tobacco, cedar and spicy dried herbs. Light to medium weight with an elegant feel but not a great deal of drive, the palate possesses flavours of currants and plum over cedary tobacco leaf characters, earth and spicy dried herbs. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Moderate aftertaste.
