2015 Karriview Vineyard Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a crimson hue. Fragrant ripe dark cherry and strawberry aromas gently laced with anise are followed by subtle gamey notes and spicy cedar. Light in body the delicious palate dishes up flavours of ripe cherries and strawberries subtlety infused with fresh herbs over some gamey characters and spicy cedar. Supple mouthfeel with silky smooth tannins and a power wave that creeps up on you and builds incrementally. Long savoury ripe cherry, strawberry, spicy cedar and subtle fresh herb finish.

Clear crimson purple; an unambiguously good pinot noir with drive and intensity to its bell-clear varietal expression coupled with fine, persuasive tannins and crisp acidity; fragrant red cherry fruit carries its line confidently through the long, perfectly balanced, palate; some expensive oak has been worth the money. Very good now, even better in 5-10 years’ time. Drink by 2026.
