2015 Howard Park Leston Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Lifted red and black currant fruit aromas meld into tobacco and dried herb nuances with black olives and spicy cedar the back drop. Medium to full bodied with a rich yet elegant flavour profile of ripe blackcurrant and subtle mulberry melding into elements of cigar box, dried herbs and spicy tobacco. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannins. Excellent depth with a long spicy blackcurrant, ripe mulberry, subtle cigar box and dried herb aftertaste.

Small parcels hand-picked and sorted, some parcels remaining on skins post-ferment, each batch matured separately for 18 month in French oak (40% new). Its varietal expression, balance and length are all perfect, the oak and tannin handling no less impressive. Drink by 2035.
