Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. The nose offers up dark plum, aniseed and ripe dark cherry aromas which meld into lightly smoked oak, black olive, fennel and spice notes. Medium to full in body, rich flavours of dark plum and aniseed are backed by toasty vanillin cedar, earthy black olive and spicy fennel. Opulent feel with very smooth, velvet like tannins. Finishes long, rich and quite savoury.
