2015 Henschke Keyneton Euphonium

A blend of 66% Shiraz, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc matured in French oak hogsheads of which 20% were new for a period of 18 months. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe dark plum and liquorice aromas mix with dark currant, light tobacco, vanillin cedar, subtle earth and spicy dried herb notes. Exceptionally silky with medium to full body weight, the palate is richly flavoured with spicy dark plum, liquorice and blackcurrant fruit which is underpinned by subtle notions of black olive, vanillin cedar, scorched earth and dried herbs. Velvety tannins with a long moreish finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
