Aged for 24 months in 20% new oak. Totally opaque black core with a deep bright dark red black hue. On the nose aromas of inky ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum overlay lightly toasted vanillin cedar and spice. Juicy ripe blackberry and liquorice flavours are followed by vanillin confectionary and spice with a dry inky finish. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy inky blackberries, liquorice and lightly toasted cedar.
