Excellent totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep bright dark red black hue. Aromas of liquorice and blackberry are overlaid by some spicy dried herb notes and vanillin cedar. Medium to full bodied with a plush textural feel the palate has flavours of spicy ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark cherries over toasty oak and earth. Slightly dryish finish with the tannins possessing a touch of chalkiness. Aftertaste of spicy blackberries, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and subtle earth.
