2015 Fattoria Montecchio Chianti Classico

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. A combination of dried and dark cherries intermixes with earthy cedar and hints of spicy new leather. Light to medium weight with an elegant feel the palate dishes up flavours of dark cherries which morph into dried cherries over old cedar, earth and spicy dried herbs. Dryish finish with grainy tannins and an earthy aftertaste of dark and dried cherries, old cedar, dried herb infusions and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
