Other Reviews....
A pretty if restrained nose speaks of various wild red berries, earth and once again sauvage nuances. The supple yet concentrated medium weight flavors possess both fine volume and detail on the punchy and lightly mineral-inflected finale that is less rustic than usual. What is entirely typical though is the expected aging curve as this is almost certainly to be extremely long-lived.

(15% vendange entier; 50% new oak): Bright ruby-red. Black cherry, licorice and an oaky note on the somewhat compressed nose. Densely packed, spicy and seamless, with the enveloping texture, dark-fruit intensity and saline minerality to buffer its serious structure. The very long finish features repeating salty minerality, with the tannins coating the sides of the tongue. This very warm site is always the first to be harvested at Faiveley following their vineyards on the Côte de Beaune.

Extremely rich and opulent aromas with blueberries, orange peel and peach seeds. Flowers, too. Full and round, offering up rich tannins and a flavorful finish. Very persistent. Drink in 2021 but already a joy to drink.
