2015 Domaine Faiveley Gevery-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes

Deep vibrant red colour with black tinged edgings and a bright red hue. Showing some restraint the nose yields delicately perfumed scents of violets, spicy red cherries, earthy iron like notes, dried meats and fresh herbs. Holding its cards close to its chest the tightly knit palate sees spicy ripe cherry and strawberry flavours intermingling with inky earth, dried meats and spicy herbs. Structured meaty like mouthfeel with a dry rustic finish. Tightly grained, slightly chalky tannins combine with fresh acidity. Spicy aftertaste of red fruits, earthy iron like characters, dried meats and herbs.
