2015 d’Arenberg The Footbolt Shiraz Cellar Museum Release

Rich, lush fruit framed by firm muscular tannins with some tertiary elements beginning to come through.

Aged in a mix of new and used French and American oak for a period of 12-18 months. Impressive colour displaying a pitch black heart along with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced dark plum, blackberry and liquorice aromas are interwoven with earth, spicy vanillin cedar and faint leather notes. On the palate rich, lush dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits are framed by firm muscular tannins. Spicy vanillin cedar, earthy dark chocolate and leather elements extend across the back half. Amply fleshed and concentrated it has a grippy medium to long finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
