2015 Craigie Knowe Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot matured for 18 months in new and old French oak barrels. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Elevated red to blackcurrant and mulberry scents tinged with bay leaf drift from the glass. Cedary tobacco characters, black olive and spice ensue. Elegant, yet possessing good richness, red and blackcurrant fruits dominate over infusions of bay leaf, cedary tobacco characters, light earth and spice. Dryish finish with a slight chalkiness to the tannins giving the back palate some grip. Medium to long aftertaste of red currants, mulberries, bay leaf, subtle cedary tobacco characters, light earth and spice.
