2015 Cobaw Ridge Syrah

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. Aromas of black cherries, liquorice and clove have a smoky overlay with dried meat, scorched earth, black olive and blackpepper notes ensuing. Medium bodied the palate has a classically Northern Rhone flavour profile of spicy dark plums and liquorice infused with smoky earth, clove, dried meats, vanillin cedar and blackpepper. Elegant and smooth throughout with a bright finish, velvety tannins and a long savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
