Matured for 24 months in mostly older French oak. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. Elevated aromas of ripe blackcurrant laced with choc mint are followed by vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses juicy ripe blackcurrant flavours intermixed with choc mint over some toasty vanillin oak and spice. Soft plush mouthfeel with velvety tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, choc mint, a good dollop of vanillin oak and spice.
