2015 Cape Mentelle Shiraz

Magnificent glass staining inky black core with a very deep bright dark purple black tinged hue. Aromas of spicy black cherry and liquorice are laced with blackpepper over infusions of graphite and dried meats. Youthful black cherry, blackberry and liquorice flavours infused with blackpepper and spice explode across the palate underpinned by earthy graphite, black olive and smoky vanillin cedar. Very peppery finish with sturdy tannins providing a robust mouthfeel. Aftertaste of spicy black fruits, blackpepper, earthy graphite, smoky vanillin cedar and black olives. A powerful yet elegant Shiraz with a firm underlying structure.
