2015 By Farr Three Oaks Vineyard Chardonnay

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. The nose features white peach, nectarine and citrus scents all melded together with some subtle dried honey notes, light toasty oak, flinty struck matchstick and spice following on. Rich yet very refined flavours of white peaches and nectarines intermixed with dried honey fill the mouth over some light toasty oak, funky struck matchstick infusions, cashew and spice. Has a slight creaminess to it but the overall feeling is one of freshness. Superb length with a long complex finish of white peaches, dried honey, cashew, flinty struck matchstick and spicy, lightly toasted oak. Has some similarities to Grand Cru Chablis.
