This wine comes from the vineyards located in the municipalities of Barolo, Monforte d’Alba, and Novello: which represents the southwestern part of the Barolo production area. It is aged for 2 years in large Slavonian oak casks and then given one year in bottle before being released.
Semi translucent dark red core with a light brick red hue. Expressive violet led scents of red and dried cherries meld into earth, subtle dried herb, delicate leather and spice notes. Light to medium bodied, savoury red cherry and strawberry fruits are well integrated with subtle earthy tobacco characters, old cedar, traces of leather and spicy herbs. A supple mid palate is supported by vibrant acidity and rustic, slightly gravelly tannins. Excellent length with a long elegant aftertaste.
Already quite approachable it will cellar a further 6-8 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
Juicy and generous, this delicious red opens with aromas of dark-skinned berry, fragrant blue flower and baking spice. On the round, almost creamy palate, refined tannins and fresh acidity accompany juicy raspberry, cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of eucalyptus. Just lovely.
