Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated aromas of ripe blackcurrant and a touch of liquorice tinged with black olive merge into some cigar box characters, dried herbs and spice. Medium to full bodied rich blackcurrant, liquorice and mulberry flavours are to the fore underpinned by cedary tobacco characters, earth and spicy bay leaf. Fine grained tannins have an underlying firmness. Medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, cedary tobacco characters, subtle bay leaf and spice.
