2015 Ad Hoc Middle of Everywhere Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black core with a deep bright dark purple hue. Nosing throws up inviting aromatics of blackberries and liquorice laced with dried meats and blackpepper over smoky vanillin cedar. Medium to full bodied the palate is flooded with generous ripe black cherry, blackberry and liquorice flavours infused with black pepper underpinned by smoky vanillin cedar. Quite savoury with a dryish finish. Well balanced acidity and chewy yet ripe tannins provide excellent structure. The mouthfeel has a restrained meaty opulence to it. The aftertaste long and satisfying featuring black cherries, blackpepper, liquorice, dried meats and subtlety smoked vanillin cedar.
