2015 A.T. Richardson Chockstone Shiraz

Opaque black purple colour with a bright dark purple hue. Youthful nose with freshly crushed dark berry aromatics of blackberries and dark cherries shaded by some liquorice notes followed by vanillin cedar and hints of pepper. Medium to full bodied the youthful but impressive palate delivers generous ripe blackberry and liquorice flavours over some vanillin oak, crushed rock infusions and pepper. Fresh finish with finely grained yet chiselled tannins providing the framework for the fruit to work around. Long peppery aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, vanillin oak, subtle crushed rock infusions and spice.
