2014 Zonte's Footstep Avalon Tree Cabernet Sauvignon

A portion of Tempranillo has been blended into this Cabernet. Totally opaque black red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted aromatics of ripe blackcurrant are intermixed with some black cherries and liquorice which overlay background notes of subtle black olives and spicy cedary tobacco characters. Full and rich with firm brooding tannins that impart great structure the palate features mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant and black cherries intermixed with flashes of liquorice and black olives followed by cedary tobacco characters and spice. Dry chewy finish with a long conclusion of blackcurrant, black cherry, cedary tobacco and spice. This big rich structured Cabernet requires some patience.
