Matured for 15 months in French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. With some coaxing the nose offers up aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice and subtle mint over vanillin cedar and bay leaf notes. Medium bodied, there’s ample richness to the mint laced blackcurrant fruit. Kicking in on the finish are elements of mulberry, vanillin cedar, traces of tobacco, earth and bay leaf. Well integrated velvet smooth tannins. Concludes with a medium length aftertaste.
