2014 Woody Nook Gallagher's Choice Cabernet Sauvignon

Midnight black dark red colour with a deep dark red black hue. Ripe blackcurrant and tobacco leaf scents are complimented by cigar box, earthy black olive, dried herb and spicy capsicum notes. Rich blackcurrant fruits are layered across the medium to full bodied palate with spicy cigar box, black olive, earth and subtle capsicum characters sitting in the background. Slightly edgy acidity with fine grained tannins and a savoury medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Great colour; in almost identical style to previous vintages, very powerful, sombre blackcurrant fruit set within a necklace of cabernet tannins that stand apart from other tannins; the palate is very long, intense and impeccably balanced. Drink by 2039.
