Totally opaque black red colour with a deep bright dark crimson black tinged hue. Lifted inky liquorice and blackberry scents dominate the nose over some fresh plum, vanillin confectionary and light spice. Medium to full bodied the palate is filled with rich juicy fruit, yet still has a youthful inkiness to it. Flavours of liquorice, ripe freshly crushed blackberries and dark plum are to the fore underpinned by lightly toasted vanillin cedar and spice. Soft velvety tannins with a generous textural feel. Long aftertaste of liquorice, freshly crushed blackberries, juicy plum and spicy vanillin oak.
