2014 Terre a' Terre Crayeres Vineyard Shiraz

A blend of 91% Shiraz and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 12 months in French oak barriques (70% new) followed by a further 6 months in an old 4000 litre oak foudre.
Opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple hue. Peppery liquorice and dried meat aromas emerge from the glass with underlying subtlety smoked cedar and spicy earth. Medium bodied with an elegant feel the blackpepper infused palate has flavours of dried meats, liquorice, lightly smoked cedar and scorched earth. Slightly dryish finish with finely grained tannins and an aftertaste of peppery liquorice, dried meats and spicy smoked vanillin cedar.
Cellar 3-4 years.
