2014 Te Mata Estate Syrah

Bright dark purple red colour with a purple crimson hue. Freshly crushed berry aromas intermix with some liquorice, inky earth like characters and spicy cedar. Light and elegant the palate has flavours of spicy dark ripe cherries, a touch of liquorice, earthy cedar and faint pepper. Slightly dryish but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, subtle liquorice, lightly scorched earth and pepper.
Cellar 4-5 years.
