Totally opaque black as night colour with a dark red black tinged hue. The nose offers up aromas of blackberries, plums and liquorice followed by vanillin cedar, a hint of inkiness and pepper. Full bodied the palate is filled with bright juicy dark fruit flavours of plum and liquorice which sit over vanillin cedar, traces of earthy pepper and spice. Sturdy tannin structure and lively acidity. Aftertaste of fresh ripe dark plums, blackberries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice.
