Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark purple black hue. Nosing reveals liquorice and blackberry top notes followed by a hint of spearmint and spicy vanillin cedar. Rich, full bodied and much more approachable than many Taltarni reds of the past which could be big tannic monsters, it features mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant and black cherries intermixed with flashes of liquorice and black olives over cedary tobacco characters and spice. Dry chewy finish with a long conclusion of blackcurrant, black cherry, cedary tobacco and spice. A big structured Cabernet that requires some patience.
