2014 St. Huberts The Stag Pinot Noir

The Stag is a second label of St. Huberts with the aim to product serious Pinot Noir at an affordable price. Fruit is sourced from a variety of sites throughout the Yarra Valley with maturation taking place in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak.

Semi translucent very dark red colour with a dark red hue. Lifted scents of ripe dark cherries and strawberries are overlaid by some anise, toasty oak and spice showing very good intensity. Light to medium weight the palate is filled with generous spicy dark cherry flavours followed by a touch of anise, meaty characters and some toasty oak. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, anise, meaty characters and toasty oak.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
