2014 Smidge Wines La Grenouille Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black as night core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant and black cherry aromatics overlay liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar, black olives and spice. Full bodied and very rich with a firm muscular mouthfeel the palate dishes up concentrated ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and liquorice flavours which are infused with a strong cedary black olive character followed by earth, some charry nuances and spice. Firm dryish tannins with an aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, black cherries, liquorice, earthy black olives, scorched vanillin cedar and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.
