Totally opaque inky black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Plum and ribeena like notes are followed by some liquorice and vanillin cedar. Full bodied with excellent richness the palate shows more typical varietal character than the nose delivering luscious flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plums and liquorice over spicy vanillin cedar. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe plummy liquorice, blackberries, vanillin cedar and spice.
