Whitlaw is a pseudonym that indies sometimes use for Highland Park. The name is derived from the Whitlaw Hills which are not far from the distillery. Elsewhere selling for around $125 in Australia, the price is an absolute steal for quality HP! Matured in re-char barrels for the full ten years before bottling at 46% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... Yes, it needs a little time to get out of the rut, then there are a lot more red fruits; the HP orange is also there. Plus mandarin and a dash of lemon. I'm imagining heather smoke knowing that it's an HP... but the style is unmistakably distinctive. Typical sherry spices and aromas, albeit rather subliminal, but an Italian herb garden is there.
