Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright purple red hue. Lifted aromas of ripe dark plums and liquorice greet the nostrils followed by blackberries and spicy vanillin cedar. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses excellent fruit richness with a supple round textural feel. Mouthfilling flavours of dark plums, ripe blackberries and liquorice over a background of lightly smoked vanillin oak and spice. Silky smooth tannins. Aftertaste of dark plum, ripe blackberries, liquorice, smoky vanillin oak and spice. A well made, fruit driven Shiraz but lacks some oomph compared to previous top releases of this wine.
