2014 Sanguine Estate Inception Shiraz

Outstanding colour displaying an impenetrable black dark purple core with a very deep dark purple black hue. A touch subdued at first the nose gradually opens up to reveal a scented aromatic profile of dark plums, blackberries and liquorice followed by vanillin cedar, subtle crushed rock notes and white pepper. Exuberant, rich and very concentrated yet quite muscular the palate possesses flavours of dark plums, liquorice and blackberries with underlying vanillin oak and blackpepper. Dry, slightly compact finish with a rigid, rock like tannin structure. Long dark plum, liquorice, blackberry, spicy vanillin oak and blackpepper aftertaste. Needs some bottle age to reveal all of its wares.
