2014 Ryder Shiraz

Matured for 15 months in a combination of French and American oak. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a deep dark purple hue. Lifted aromas of inky liquorice, crushed blackberries, vanillin confectionary and subtle pepper end notes. Medium weight the palate has a joosy mouthfeel and features generous flavours of crushed blackberries, liquorice and a touch of pen ink over a background of spicy vanillin cedar. Slightly dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Good length. Aftertaste of liquorice, inky crushed blackberries, spicy vanillin cedar and pepper.
