2014 Rolf Binder Montepulciano

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced black and dried cherry aromas laced with aniseed fill the nostrils followed by some smoked earth and dried herb notes. Medium weight with generous black and dried cherry flavours overlaid by smoky earth, leather, dried herbs and spice. Supple textural feel with a dry earthy finish. Fine grained, yet slightly gritty tannins. Earthy leather aftertaste of black and dried cherries, dried herbs and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
