Matured for 16 months in French oak hogsheads. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals meaty blackberry and liquorice aromas followed by some smoky vanillin cedar and pepper. Medium to full bodied the palate is filled with juicy blackberry and liquorice flavours which sit over some dried meats, smoky vanillin cedar and pepper. Perfectly integrated tannins, almost velvet like. Peppered aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice and lightly smoked vanillin cedar.
