Aged for 12 months in French oak. Dense black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Engaging aromas of ripe black cherries, blackcurrant and liquorice have a scorched earth overlay with spicy dried herb notes also evident. Ripe dark cherry and liquorice flavours run into some intrusive vanillin oak, scorched earth and spicy herbs. Firmish tannins lead into a chewy, medium length finish.
