2014 Louis Violland Cotes du Rhone

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. The nose throws up scents of ripe dark to black cherries laced with dried herbs and notions of incense followed by scorched earth, leather and light pepper. Light to medium bodied the palate has flavours of dark cherries, subtle dried herb infusions, earth and spice. Soft round mouthfeel with finely grained tannins. Moderate depth and aftertaste concluding with dark cherries, dried herbs, earth and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
