2014 Levrier Peritas Zinfandel

Matured for 24 months in new French oak. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Streaming through the nostrils are elevated scents of aniseed, black plum, black cherries and hints of dried cherries over vanillin cedar with spicy end notes. Bold and richly flavoured the palate is filled with black cherries, liquorice and dried cherries over some vanillin oak and spices. Finishes with ripe chewy tannins which impart some grip to the back palate. Long spicy black and dried cherry, liquorice, black plum and vanillin oak aftertaste. Rich and robust this is a big, generously flavoured Zinfandel.
