Matured for 16 months in American and French oak hogsheads. Totally opaque inky black purple colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Showing good intensity the nose offers up scents of liquorice, ripe blackberries and black cherries with vanillin cedar and spice following. Rich and lusciously textured the palate features liquorice and blackberry flavours over some toasty vanillin oak, black cherries and spice. Supple velvety tannins with a long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, toasty vanillin cedar and spice.
