2014 Hay Shed Hill Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 18 months in French oak. Excellent colour displaying a totally opaque black crimson core with a deep dark crimson red hue. The nose offers up scents of blackcurrant and mulberries infused with bay leaf over cedary tobacco characters and a hint of spice. Medium bodied the palate has good upfront fruit with ripe blackcurrant and mulberry flavours to the fore with ensuing bay leaf infusions, some faint tobacco and spicy cedar. Fine grained well integrated tannins. Good richness, yet has an elegant feel. Medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, subtle bay leaf, cedary tobacco characters and spice.
