Matured for 18-24 months in American and French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Pronounced liquorice and ripe blackberry aromatics meld into some toasty vanillin oak with hints of dark chocolate and spice following on. Rich and opulently textured the palate features initial succulent liquorice, blackberry and black cherry flavours with toasty vanillin oak overtaking the back palate. Finishes spicy with velvet smooth tannins. Medium to long ripe blackberry, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
