2014 Garagiste Merricks Pinot Noir

Very deep dark red black tinged colour with a bright dark crimson red hue. Pronounced aromas of ripe dark cherries intermixed with hints of anise are overlaid by clove with underlying scents of earthy cedar and spice. Light weight with a supple mouthfeel and fresh finish the palate features flavours of ripe dark cherries and plum intermixed with clove, smoked meats and earth followed by spicy cedar. Very fine grained, perfectly integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of dark cherries, spicy clove, smoked meats, subtle earth and cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
