2014 Fontalpino Chianti Classico

Very deep dark red black tinged colour with a bright dark red hue. Elevated aromatics of dark cherries laced with dried herbs intermix with earth, old cedar and spice. Medium weighted the palate possesses good richness with dark and dried cherries tied to notions of earthy dried herbs followed by old cedar and spice. Soft elegant mouthfeel with slightly dryish but otherwise very refined tannins. Concludes with an aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, traces of dried cherries, earthy old cedar and dried herbs.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
