Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Displays a similar aromatic profile to the Barossa Valley Elevation Shiraz, with the distinct clove like notes perhaps even more prominent. Pronounced dark plum, ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas are infused with a combination of clove and fennel followed by smoky dried meats and spicy cedar. Rich with a beautifully supple texture carrying its way across the palate is has powerful, yet refined flavours of dark plum, blackberry and liquorice married to singed cedar, clove and some meatiness with a spicy peppery finish. Velvety like tannins enhance the cashmere like feel yet are structurally quite rigid. Exceptionally long aftertaste of dark plum, blackberries, liquorice, smoky cedar, dried meats, clove and spicy pepper.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc 14.6%

Other Reviews....
Exceptionally well made. From three vineyards, the oldest dating back to 1858. Fragrant and purely fruited, its vibrancy and energy are the key to the captivating aromas. The palate is equally impressive; fine-grained, savoury tannins drive through the layers and layers of fruit, finishing poised and precise. Drink by 2045.
