Sourced from vines aged between 21-122 years old with oak maturation in predominately second and third fill American puncheons for a period of 24 months. Totally opaque inky black dark purple colour with a deep bright dark purple hue. Uplifted aromas of liquorice and dark plum are followed by some blackberry notes, well integrated smoky vanillin oak and spicy pepper. Full bodied the palate is filled with rich plummy liquorice flavours that sit alongside blackberries, smoky vanillin oak infusions and spice. Round opulent mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Long spicy dark plum, liquorice and smoky vanillin oak aftertaste.
