Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of spicy ripe Morello cherries and anise overlay some scorched earth and leather characters. Medium bodied, generously fruited and quite spicy, flavours of Morello cherries and liquorice intermesh with scorched earth. Chewy spice laced finish with firm grainy tannins and bright acidity providing a sense of dryness. Very spicy aftertaste of Morello cherries, liquorice and prominent scorched earth.
