Aged for 12 months in older French oak. Opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. Lifted ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas are overlaid by new leather with earthy vanillin cedar and spice following on. Medium bodied with juicy black cherry and subtle liquorice infusions melding into earthy vanillin cedar with a touch of spicy leather on the finish. Dry, slightly chewy tannins with an aftertaste of juicy black cherries, a touch of liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and spicy leather.
